This guide applies to our standalone Japan eSIMs
This setup guide applies to our standalone Japan eSIM plans only. If you’re using a regional or multi-country eSIM, setup instructions may differ.
APNs are set by default on iOS devices, with the exception of Japan.
iOS: Japan – please set the APN as “vmobile.jp”.
For Android, you may need to enter manually in some cases.
If you have no internet connection after arriving in Japan, please follow the steps below.
Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone and change the APN settings:
- Click “Mobile Data” or “Cellular Network”.
- Select “Mobile data network” or “Cellular data network.”
- Under “Mobile Data” or “Cellular Data”, scroll down to find the “APN” field and enter vmobile.jp After the operation is completed, turn on roaming for eSIM.
Hotspot sharing and tethering is supported by default as well. In the case of Japan, please configure as follows:
